Here's some WIP photos of my current project. This is new; Haulers first 1/35 resin kit. It is a Skoda 420mm (16") Howitzer. It's a really massive and way cool gun! The kit is huge and all the parts attach with large butt joints - it took forever to sand and dryfit, with lots of putty. There was no gunners panoramic sight at all so I scratchbuilt one. I'm giving it a black primer coat today.

You know somethingMatt- I just realized I have never seen one of your completed models.

I see some really nice scratch-building on this. How are you planning on displaying this?

Steve,
I had like 4 things at Granitecon, did you see my Type 97 Chi-Ha? It was the only one there and that's my second most recent. Probably my best work, too.
For the Skoda gun, thanks guys for the compliments. The hardest part was trying and not always succeeding in getting square edges! It was impossible to do with the hand tools I have and I finally resorted to "close enough" and then broke out the putty. However, being forced to say "close enough" gives me a nervous tick.  Angry
The photos I could find are not many. It shows that the gun was trucked in in pieces, a hole was dug below the turntable, and the ground plate was staked down with 6 massive anchors. I'm going to put it on a base with some groundwork around it and maybe some stacked rifles and a radio set.
