Looks great Thom. I like the use of the aligator clips. That's a new one on me. I'm always trying to secure things to toothpicks and then paint them.....

Hello JG and Matt,

Thanks for the comments, unfortunately Matt I won't have this one done for the show this weekend.  Sad

JG I created a bunch of holders using alligator clips, wire and shrink tubing they work great.

Okay well I have few more pics to show of the progress, and these are riveting  Cheesy

Thanks for looking and cheers,
Thom

Nice work Thom. What did you use for the rivets?

Matt,

For the gray looking ones I used the Grandt Line 155 rivets, modifing the heads a little with a sanding stick. For the white looking ones I used .020 in Plastruct rod rounding the end with a sanding stick before sticking it through the back side of the hole I drilled in the model and securing it with some CA.

Cheers,
Thom

Thom-
some of the old Italieri kits hold up really well- especially when you add a modern PE set as you are.

That KFZ 15 Horch would be worth a re-visit too.

Looking good man.

Steve-

Thanks yeah I like taking something not so mainstream tooling wise and turn it into something worthy of the shelf.  Smiley

You know Steve that in the online chat world if you double post you have to remove an article of clothing (never made much sense)  Shocked so I think that in a modeling forum you have to give up a box kit to the starter of the thread...  Tongue

Well here are a couple of more progress pics, hope to get more done in the next few days as I'll be away from the bench for more then a week due to work.

As always tanks for looking..   Smiley

I hollowed out the light so I could add in a little reflectance and then a clear lens on top.

Cheers,
Thom

Thom-
          double post? Huh

Anyway- your model is looking great- are the tiny white dots rivets or bolt heads?

Steve,

The post from you before my last one was showing up twice which happens with these types of programs sometimes.  Cheesy

They are rivets made from .020 diameter plastruct rod.

Cheers,
Thom

Wow Thom, looking great! You definitely have building talent! I keep having to remind myself that you are an experienced modeler, just new to armor.
